Workshop "Encoding correspondence metadata with correspDesc" at TEI Conference 2015

The TEI Correspondence Special Interest Group invites you to the workshop "Encoding correspondence meta data with correspDesc", which will be held on Tuesday, October 27th, 2015 at the TEI conference in Lyon.

It is planned to discuss how to encode correspondence metadata with the new element <correspDesc> and how to deal with correspondence-specific phenomena that are (currently) not to be encoded within <correspDesc>. The emphasis of the workshop will be on looking at particular encoding-cases of participants and on finding solutions to problems.

The topic of interchange between correspondence editions and projects will also be addressed: the Correspondence Metadata Interchange (CMI) Format as well as the project correspSearch will be presented and the particpants will be shown with how to create digital indexes of letters for correspSearch.

What can be done with correspondence metadata will be discussed in the workshop "Explorative data analysis and visualisation in nodegoat".

Participants can send their encodings in advance, as well as encoding problems and questions, or they can post them on the wiki page (soon to be created), so that they can be discussed at the workshop.

Interested participants have to register for the TEI Conference first, then they can register for the workshops here.
